Bib necklace inspired by Alabama Chanin

I made this bib necklace using two pieces of felted merino wool that I cut out of recycled sweaters. I chose merino wool because it is buttery soft and won’t irritate the skin. I hand stitched the two pieces together using the reverse applique and embroidery techniques that Natalie Chanin describes in her "Alabama Stitch" book.
